Steps to solve:

-2x + 5(x - 6) = 6

~Distributive Property

-2x + (5 * x) + (5 * -6) = 6

~Simplify

-2x + 5x + (-30) = 6

~Combine Like Terms

(-2x + 5x) - 30 = 6

~Simplify

3x - 30 = 6

~Add 30 to both sides

3x - 30 + 30 = 6 + 30

~Simplify

3x = 36

~Divide 3 to both sides

3x/3 = 36/3

~Simplify

x = 12

Best of Luck!
