The equation goes through the point: J(4, 1)

The equation has a slope of: -4

Slope Intercept Form: y = mx +b


Plug in and Solve:

1 = -4(4) + b

1 = -16 + b

+16  +16

----------------

17 = b


Equation: y = -4x +17
